Census 1911The 1911 census is written by William Thomas Scott and so amongst other things we see a sample of his handwriting. As he is filling it out himself we also get a full description of his job which is as a higher grade clerk, civil service in the Post Office Savings Bank. In this census return we obtain Helen's full Christian name for the first time, Helen Anna Maria. We see that Dorothy is still living at home, as a student and learn that her middle name is Edith. |
