Trip to Scotland and England 2010

Oct 26, Tuesday

Spent some time on the computer and sent an email to holly Bridges about George Rust and the memorial at Heathrow. Drove from East Grinstead near Gatwick airport to a farm B&B at Ilcombe near Charing, Kent. On the way stopped at Smarden where Thomas Hyder married Mary Hodges 27 Dec 1784. They are my fifth great grandparents. Went in to Charing and saw the graveyard. It is a rainy day and difficult to find anything new. the rector and the local hisotrian secretary are out of town. Back to the B&B -- a bit of computer work catch up and then to the Who'd a Thought for a dinner -- roast lamb.
