1881 census
Kitty and George are listed in the 1881 census of England at Ray Wood Farm in Charing Kent. George is recorded as a farmer of 60 acres employing two sons. The census indicates that the sons are in the same household and we see that one of the sons, William, is a widower while the other son, James, is unmarried. Also living in the household are three children, Jane Thomas and Rose Jenkins. It appears that these are the children of William and his late wife (Assuming that the entry for Rose as a "God Daur" is a transcription error and that she is indeed a granddaughter of George. Also living in the household is the unmarried daughter Sarah of George and Kitty.
